We have just taken delivery of a new 207 S with the 1.4 VTi 95 engine. It's a great car but we cannot get the CD radio to play MP3 files. The handbook says it can - and I have taken care to ensure the files are recorded using the Joliet standard as specified. The CD player just spits the disc out after a few seconds.

Any ideas - the specification for the car is very vague in this area to see if it is definitely included or not.

A mates says MP3 on it and plays no bother. There's two versions, RD4 L1 and RD4 L2 - the latter plays MP3 discs with CD Text too. In my car it doesnt and I can't play the MP3 discs.

However I am upgrading to the MP3 version very soon.
