EDIT: Just seen this post, I'd better try a dealer.

I have realised that I forgot to check for the presence of a locking wheel bolt key when I purchased my car a few months ago, and now I need to change the tyres.

There doesn't seem to be an info card with my vehicle documents, so I've no idea what the wheel bolt key code is.

How can I obtain a locking wheel bolt key?

I've attached a pic of my locking bolt in case anyone can visually identify it (the orange stuff is plasticine which I was using to make an impression of the shape).

I think the pattern on the locking bolt looks similar to key P0Z4 (see a pic of a P0Z4 key I found on eBay).

Thanks for your help!

Yep they are dealer standard locking bolts and quite frankly absolute rubbish they wear out and slip the 4 pins fall out throw them as far away as you can :)

If you really NEED locking bolts try mcgard ones good quality and rarely slip

Thanks for the replies guys.

I definitely won't be putting any more locking wheel bolts on. Had the same problem a few months ago with two different vehicles, and ended up having to replace an entire swivel hub on one of the cars because of sheared bolts.

I'll see if the local garage can drill them out!

I can see a few not too far from me. Got a couple of garages to try this evening/tomorrow afternoon so fingers crossed one of those can get it done.

Have you checked that its not in with the Jack and wheel brace,
First, second and third place I looked!

Ripped out all the plastic trays in the boot as well. No hint of an info card or a key.

Took the car to an independent Peugeot specialist after work and it's booked in for tomorrow morning. They said they've removed hundreds of the things before, so we'll see how I get on.

The independent garage managed to get all four locking bolts out on Friday morning, with a couple of scratches inside the bolt holes of the alloy wheels. Cost me £40 + VAT, which I think seems like a fair price.
