Hello everyone,

My first post here...
Just got my brand new 308SW 1.2.
The infotainment seems to be in a very basic configuration. What drives me mad is that neither 'Android Auto' or 'Apple CarPlay' are avail options.
... You may find it strange, but I live outside the UK, and this is how this car is delivered here.
So the icons of these apps are not even displayed. I am connecting my phones and using Apple Car Play / Android Auto in my other car, so know the process, and the expected result.

So, I am asking whether this is 'just' a firmware upgrade that I need to do, or that I have a downgraded HW, and it's not just a matter of SW...
(obviously, looks physically the same in a non-expert eye)

Some version details:
version: 073A
HMI version: 21.615.53.14.00
iMX version: x0101175_170420_16.1B108
V850 version W2.1_16.1S712

Any advice would be appreciated. THANKS!

I can't help directly (and having an earlier car probably won't be able to) but it might help if you said where you are and what country specification the car is built to if it's not the same.

I am based out of Israel. 308SW 1.2 are brought here only in one configuration. No ability for the customer, to configure the car options.

Just my curiosity, for what reason you need this function? I mean, I might use it for Google maps, because I have no sat nav. But, for other purposes, I can't imagine what ....?

Need it mainly to use the navigation system (typically Waze), but using also the music player (though I have other alternatives to play the music). I have no other SatNav option (SatNav is not installed in my system - very common, as everyone is using here Waze through the mobile phone, and displaying it in the infotainment).

Aha, OK, that's my tought, too. However, when I need some navigation, I use Google maps on my cell phone which is connected to car via bluetooth. So I switch my source to BT and listen instructions. Between instructions music playing with nice fade in/out before and after instruction.

I rely on the built-in sat nav, not always perfect but ot does the job, previously ive been using Google maps, they are very good one. But what's annoying, that it has to be switched to BT to hear the navigation through speakers... What if i want listen to radio? Shame that the BT protocol is not there :(
