Hi people I've brought a stereo for my 307cc 2004 I've installed and notice the stereo doesn't turn off when key is removed and the stereo is always on until I turn it off. This is making the battery drain any help

If you have a multi-meter you can place one end on the chassis of the car. Use the other end to work out which cable's voltage changes with the ignition switch. Cut said cable from the connector and join it to the ignition cable of the stereo. Boom!

When joining the cable best to use solder but a basic joint block from a hardware shop would do. Remember to put tape round the joint to stop short circuits. :thumb:

Normally on Peugeots that use iso connectors (like the one pictured) you have to swap the lives - there is a switched and an unswitched.

Most stereos have bullet connectors of the leads for this specific purpose.

Oh, they're usually yellow and red on the harness that comes with the stereo.

If you don't keep a permanent live you won't be able to retain the stereo memory for presets, sound settings or clock etc.
