Car went in for Mot last week and my friendly tester informed me that my axle is bent, sad times

I've no idea how it's happened, but it has been eating tyres.

So I'm on the look out for a replacement.

I'm just wondering if all of the 307 axles are the same apart from the whole disc/bearing combo?

Could I fit an sw or cc axle onto my hatchback??

You shouldn't have much trouble locating a good secondhand one. Fitting it will require supporting the car with very sturdy jackstands or a hoist, and help from at least one other. It will take several hours, possibly an all day job if you find rusted bolts.
A competent diy mechanic shouldn't have much difficulty, but it isn't a Saturday morning on your drive job.

Hi,

Thanks for your replys :)

I've swapped a few 206 axles before, so I can't see it being too tough.

I'm wondering if the axle is actually bent, or if the stub axles are bent??

Maybe I could fine a brand new set?
