Can anyone explain how this works. I went with my brother in law today to collect his new car. A Peugeot 307 SW Diesel. It states in the handbook that it should do 52.4 mpg. He put £15 in on the way back around 3 gallons. The onboard computer stated that it only had 25 miles left in fuel before we put in the 3 gallons.
After the fuel was put in the computer read 110 miles.
Now you don't need to be a mathematician to work out
£15 Diesel = 3 x Gallons or there abouts
3 x 52.4 mpg should = 157.2mpg+ 25 already showing on the computer. Total 182
How come the computer is only stating 110 miles. Are these things that inaccurate or is there something else wrong
If anyone has a clue please let me know.
Thanks
