I am trying to play my music from my MP3 player through the USB port on my 3008, and it says that the media is unreadable, I have formatted the player to FAT32 and then copied the files but still no, anyone have any ideas?

What kind of MP3 player is it. Quite a few and not only Apple require their own software to enable control or playback via USB port. Some players are unable to support playback via the USB port.

Thanks Storeman, think it could be the player, it is only a cheap one from Japan, might be better using a memory stick.

Yep - that would be the way to go. I'm pretty sure these days any car USB port capable of playing music would be looking for a memory stick rather than a player.
