So not sure if this has anything to do with it. on the 24th of last month had the timing belt and water pump replaced, everything seamed fine. Till Sunday last week returning home. The power dropped and engine management light came on.

Got home let it cool down took the laptop out plugged planet in. had the following display

Not bothered about the pre and post as that's been for a while or the fan.
Other 3 where new the codes where from top p0299 for turbo regulation. other 2 where p0483 and p1728. Did have a esp /abs error too but cleared that off when i got home after this with planet.

Engine management light went off during the week will plug planet back in tomorrow to see what codes are there still. The loss of power is not limp mode it still revs to over 2000rpm and will go up to 3000 when driving. There is just a lack of grunt missing now. when going up hill there is a definite lack of response but not so much when on on flat road or down hill. when it gets to 3000 revs it doesn't sound right like something running ?. under normal driving conditions on flat road you don't get that either. Is it possible something they have forgot or perhaps loose connection ?. will go over this tomorrow when i have time.

Any suggestions welcome.

All the faults are caused by the same thing they are all airflow related

low boost =low airflow through airflow meter this in turn leads to low torque output for pedal position

You have something causing a restriction in the intake circuit or the turbo vanes are gummed up and not moving properly possibly a burst boost pipe too its hard to say without seeing it in the flesh but its something in the airpipework or turbo

Oh well as expect it wasn't good news this morning turns out more that its worth by looks of it waste of time doing timeing belt getting through Mot last month.

told looks like Turbo is gone, pressure solenoid too. The accelerator switch needs replacing as its come up blocked planet as well as the dpf being overwhelmed which his probably due to lack of high speed runs to clear it. was told that will need stripped and cleaned but it is more likely a high speed run it needs not had one in 3 weeks due to the fault with lack of power or boost

Oh well off to look at a passat Damn
