Any help please,Peugeot 307 1.6 hdi 110bhp 55 reg.

Only seems to happen when the engine is hot & not always,but put the foot down feels like something on the engine has closed off,then i can see smoke in the rear mirror like a sooty smoke not the oil burning type.Take the gas off back to normal ??
