Hi,

I like to ensure my 308 (2010) is warmed up in a morning (screen clear etc).

Is there a way to leave the engine running (using spare key) and then lock the car from outside?
I've tried using the interior button, I've tried the key fob and I've tried using the key in the door lock but nothing seems to work (leaving all doors and boot locked).

Is there a way?
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Richard :)

Americans have a system called remote start ...Point your key out of the kitchen window on a cold & frosty morning & your car fires up , with the doors locked . ( As long as its in neutral , manual or Auto )

However Bruish law states " You may not leave a motor vehicle , unattended , with its engine running "

Now this may be just on the public highway & not just on your driveway ---however , as you are a British motorist & not to be trusted !!..this system is not available to you !!

Plus , leaving your engine ticking over for too long is a practice to be frowned upon !!

Keep the drivers side window open, reach in and press the lock button on the center console. Then toggle the auto up on the window.

The reason Peugeot make it so hard? Simple
So you cant lock your keys in the car.

Keeping this in mind the only way to unlock the car would be to use the spare key.

Peace

Use your spare key in the door barrel is all you can do without getting remote start

Of course, if someone punches the window out and drives the car away your insurers won't pay. It's also an offence to quit a motor vehicle on a highway or other public place.
