A thought came to mind last night about the LED headlamps and insects. I was wondering if insects are less attracted to them as opposed to conventional headlamps. I know that the LED lamps in the house attract almost no insects at all.

I have only had mine for a month now and its not really insect season so was wondering if anyone had any experience.

I think what attracts them most is speed. Insects love fast cars and would stick to them.
LED or no LED, doesn't matter as long as you drive fast :-D

I can, categorically, state that insects stick like dried glue to them.

The optic path is more intense than a normal bulb so they really like the sunbathing so much they weld to it.

Seriously - there's probably a wavelength distribution that they're more attracted to but as said .. the speed is what results in their demise.
