I have a new 208 GT Line and really like it, HOWEVER - the lane keeping assist feature where it actively steers where it thinks you should go is at minimum intensely annoying and at worst, outright dangerous.
There have been times where the control input has been almost violent and feels dangerous. I've seen the point made on other boards that in roadworks it is genuinely dangerous because lane markings change in situations where the driver would never think to indicate as they are not technically changing lanes.
I've looked in the manual and the menus and it seems there is no way to disable this feature which to my mind is unacceptable.
If Peugeot follow this forum, I'd very much like to request a firmware update incorporating user control for this feature - let me decide if I want it on or off.
If this doesn't happen I'll honestly consider raising this as a road safety issue with motoring organisations. It is that worrying to me and analogous to the Tesla autopilot issues.
