the 307 is fast becoming a nightmare. There are a few posts on this forum concerning the suspension, some people have had just about every part replaced to no avail. I would take it back to the dealer and ask to speak to the head technician/service manager and point out your concerns forcibly but politely (just now).davey102001 said:Hi Davey again !!!
This brand new car is causing me so much trouble.
I have got a knocking sound from the rear - passenger side. I had my first rear passenger yesterday and it stopped. What do you think it is?
I am going to contact Peugeot as there have been so many problems with this car so far including it steers to the right when I have the steering wheel straight on. I took it in for this and they said they had done it but it was just the same.
I am losing patience with them now.
However, back to the question - would anyone know what it could be so I can go in armed with the right words to say?
The steering sounds as though it is either out of alignment or the steering wheel has been fitted out of alignment.
The suspension could be suspension bushes, upper suspension strut, anti roll bar, axle bushes. The upper suspension strut/link can have a bearing on wheel alignment as well, maybe kill 2 birds with the one stone hopefully.
