Hi all,

My keyless car is 21 mths old and has developed an intermittent fault (albeit very intermittent).

The car will not unlock with hand on door handle and car keys in pocket (or keys in hand for that matter!).

It happened again tonight, so I tried the passenger door handle - no joy. I tried using the spare key - still no joy.

Just wondered if anyone else had had this issue.

Check Fob Battery, its trial and error to find the issue causing the problem.

Try opening the boot & shut it again.

I've had this issue on my keyless 308, it wouldn't unlock keyless from either front door but would lock keyless.

I went to the shop, put something in the boot & the keyless entry started working again & has been for the last 3 months ever since.

There was no boot open warning on the display when the fault was occurring, maybe the electronics & switches where just upset.

Hi all,

Following my original post, this problem has got worse. The keyless locking and unlocking is not working now around 30% of the time. Will get the dealer to check it out.

Also, today I noticed that when I pressed the red button on the left of the hatch door to close it, there were 2 beep sounds and the hatch didn't close. I pressed the button again and the hatch closed. Anyone else had this happen?

I've had that happen when using the "foot" method under the bumper, 2 beeps and nothing, but put it down to clumsiness on my part. In your case however, maybe your two problems are linked and I think my first thing to try would have been a BSI reset. Please let us know what the outcome is.
