Needed the Code for a replacement Key today,went to 'Peugeot Stoneacre Dewsbury' & to my surprise, The Key Code is now FREE from the Dealers.. Just take in the log book & some Id...

I note they no longer supply a card containing the code with new cars, so maybe they have now to supply it FOC.

They should ALWAYS supply it free of charge to be honest as in reality the code IS part of the car !
It was coded when new and the code stays with the car for the life of the vehicle and as such has ALREADY been paid for !

I've just been quoted £200 by one local dealer for the key & coding. Am I being taken for a mug ! ???

No supplying and coding a key for you is about £200

The code we are on about is the access code needed to allow programming to be done

You can get a key done cheaper elsewhere though £80-£120 is more realistic

Yea I've had a couple of quotes ranging from£79 for basic key that opens the door using the key then starts the car to £139 for full remote unlocking etc
