Does it now beep when you first open the door to get in the car, or beep when you've taken the keys out of teh ignition and open the door to get out!?

As I put a new battery in my 307 and I think the BSI has reset itself, as it now beeps at me.

The bsi does not need to be reset after fitting a battery.
As long as you disconnected/reconnected the battery using the three min rule.

Wait 3min after last operation on the car then disconnect. On reconnection wait a further 3min to allow the networks to speak to each again.
