Just when I was thinking it couldn't get worst, after a noisy rear axle, squealing rear brakes (whilst driving), rear sensors falling into bumper, and now whilst polishing my car i find a rust blemish on the roof, how can a 2016 two year car have a rust spot ?

I've had new cars with rust. Experienced it on a new focus and I've seen it on Mazda's around wheel arches etc.
ford and mazda share lots of things including the rust :)

Peugeots generally do not rust badly nowadays so rust on a 2 year old car is highly unusual and may well be the result of stone chip or other damage

Mine has two small rust blisters on the roof, going in on Thursday to be checked while they do a service..

They give a 10 (or is it 12) year anti perforation warranty.

The anti perforation is a silly warranty as its meant to rust from inside out.
I would be surprised you can get PSA to pay out/fix.

Has your car ever been repaired, it possible it was repaired at the docks when it entered the UK. Some cars get damaged in transit and are repaired at the at the import agent before getting to dealers.

Just found a third blister. This one is just above the windscreen, so could have started with a stone chip perhaps. But one other is 2/3 down the roof near the roof rail, and the last one is at the tail end almost behind the aerial.

Sorry to hear about your rust issues.
So far my 2015 308sw with 90000 km is holding up well here in Sweden, where we're forced to drive on salt drenched roads in the winter. Haven't discovered any rust yet except for on the tow (which is an after market product and not Peugeot).

Maybe it's because it's a brown (oak colour) car I see no rust ;-)...

Well just got back from the service. They basically fobbed me off on the rust saying it's down to stone chips.
Only on the roof? Right at the back behind the aerial?
2 1/2 year old car, only on the roof, would expect similar elsewhere too. Also my last car, 307 SW was 13 years old, 175k miles, plenty of ston chips, not a single rust blemish. Same on my wife's 11 year old 206 SW.
But they also admitted that they are not a body shop, so not expert in this.
So why, if they are not expert, are they fobbing me off and not passing the info on to someone who is?

I contacted their Customer services via the website. Guess what, they back up the dealer without question, even though this branch does not have a body shop so they have no bodywork professionals working there.
But FB might be an option.

There are issues with the DAB radio too for which the branch are fobbing me off. But that's a different topic.

Just had a second response from Peugeot customer services.
Looking into your vehicle further, I can see that it should still be covered under its manufacturer's 3 year paint warranty which means the final decision would be made by our warranty department.
They now want me to take the car to a different branch of the dealer which has full body shop facilities.

Worth holding my breath?

Well, what a difference.

Went to Robins & Day's West London body shop, specialists.

Guy came out, looked, took photos, then got what must have been his boss out who also looked carefully. He said it was highly unusual to see the rust spreading like that. They will be putting in a warranty claim and he expected it to be approved.

That's a result and I'm happy you'll get a satisfactory result. I have to say rust on a peugeot is actually quite rare in my experience these days. :thumb:
I get stone chips all the time on my high milers and it's still unusual even for them to rust.

That was exactly my point. Never seen rust like that before on any Pug I've owned and I've had a few high milers.

I have to admit I did get a bit peed off when I got fobbed off by the local dealer. Doing the same on another issue too.
