With my last car a Ford with key fob in a Faraday pouch I had to take it out to operate car but with my new Peugeot I do not.
So my question are the two systems different.
Or maybe the faraday pouch as failed coincidently at same time as I changed cars.
The two systems are most likely different in a bunch of ways, despite being based on the same principle. It could just be that the transmission strength/sensitivity/wavelength of the Peugeot system is different/stronger allowing it to defeat your pounch, where the Ford system could not. I assume here we're talking about keyless entry&starting, as opposed to plipping the button to unlock the car for distance which might included further differences.
