I really don't understand how the long time members are still bothering to come here and offer their help and advice. I've just added yet another name to my ignore list as I can't be arsed reading anymore of his moronic posts.

It seems to me that some people just come on this and probably other forums because they find it entertaining to make posts that they know will provoke responses then just troll and adding fuel to the fire.

There has been quite a fair amount of nonsensical posts and at the moment I just don't have the patience to wade through all the crap in the hope I can find a post where I can help and at times I just feel like deleting the bookmark and not bothering coming back anymore.

Yes, I know that would be the stupid thing to do as sods law states that should I decide to have no more to do with the forum I myself will need the advice of those members who's knowledge and opinion I do respect.

Perhaps it's just because I'm a grumpy old git and impatient but I have never suffered fools lightly and It's getting harder not to just respond with a few choice words that don't hide how I feel. Maybe I'll just take a sabatical for a few days and see if I can calm down a bit.

Rant over!

Hi....ive often thought that a subscription fee(or a donation to charity) would weed out the occasional members who post questions that have already been answered on the site....but at the moment being a free forum anyone who has a question can ask ,get free advise, never to return .If a fee would do that...Im in......

A subscription has almost killed off 407owners so I'm against that.

I agree subscriptions are ok for some things but this forum would just die i have seen others over the years try it and fail.

Contrary to what some come here and say this is THE peugeot forum yes ok it could do with a few minor tweeks but then every forum has flaws.

I fully understand what storeman is saying some people just seem to want to argue and it gets tiresome trying to educate deadheads :)

If only people would use the search function instead of asking the same old questions over and over.

Some people are simply too lazy to search of cant work the search some are genuinely beyond help :)

Don't you mean Dickheads ?
It would be more appropriate. For them to be a deadhead would assume that their head had at some point in the past been alive and to be frank, some of them don't appear to have as many brain cells as a single cell amoeba.

It's not the repeat questions that get to me though as like a lot of forums, the search feature leaves a whole lot to be desired. Google search finds relevant posts on this forum far better than the forum search. It's the morons who have halitosis through talking out of their arses that really get my goat. It's those who spew out statements that are so obviously wrong that a piece of 2 x 4 would wet themselves laughing after reading it. They then insult people who try to correct their flawed reasoning.

I put my name forward as willing to be a mod for the forum - perhaps it's a good thing I didn't as I would be trying to ban at least half a dozen people simply for being a stealer of fresh air.

I'm kind of pleased I'm not on my own but not sure how many feel quite as strongly about this as I obviously do. Yes, we all get things wrong but most of us hold up our hands and accept theywere incorrect when someone more knowledgeable points out the error and then thanks them for putting them straight. Others simply extract the urine though these are fortunately not in the majority.

I appreciate the show of support. Thanks guys.

I was trying to be polite :)

I actually quite enjoy reading some of the bullshit it keeps you sane knowing there are others out there less fortunate !

Some people just CANNOT be educated though just imagine how their teachers felt at school :)
