Found this recently, interesting as it gives you information on the FAP status and other normal system info.

It's called FAP via amazon, or free lite version via appstore.

You need an OBDII bluetooth or wifi adapter and a smartphone or tablet.

On mine I learned that my fluid tank is still pretty full and that on average it regenerates every 300 or so miles. There are guides and videos of what it all means but basically when the weight of soot in the fap reaches 6g it regenerates.

Just in case it's of interest to anyone else, i know the subject comes up occasionally.

I am using this app as a "portable diagbox", since most of the time i am only monitoring the regeneration intervals anyway.
The app is really good, and can show the same DPF live data and parameters as diagbox.
When i suspect a regeneration is close, i enable the log function to monitor the DPF-temperatures and duration.

The name of the app is simply "FAP".
There is only the "light" version available on the android market, you must install the Amazon store on your phone in order to get the full version.
That is done in 2 minutes, so no problem there.

Important: This app is on a different level than all the generic OBD apps on the android market, so a Chinese OBD dongle for 50p will probably not work.
You must use a OBD bluetooth dongle that supports extended protocols, or the app can not retrieve the manufacurer specific data sent via CAN.

And.... sorry you apple guys, no fun for you. Only for android.

Hi,

Sorry for slow reply.

Yes this is Android only as far as I can see.

I used this type of obd adapter, search ebay for 301205091809

Couple of points I have noticed, firstly the compact adapter is quite fiddly to remove as the slot is deep so hard to get your fingers around it to remove.

I think the app is good, however on mine it does report 3 errors that do not show up with professional diagnosis which is a relief but also a shame as it would be good if this were accurate.

Otherwise interesting to know how the fap side is working and how much fluid is left.
