Any special tools I need to do this - or is it a garage only thing? I imagine it is straight forward, but don't want to knacker the injector or splines etc.

It is very loud now, and crying for a rest ;)

sometimes they just slide out sometimes they are well hard, undo bolt and twist and pull I use grips on metal part where fuel line goes in, if it move up then chances are you will get it out, if it gets stuck half way try put some oven cleaner on it before pushing it back in a bit and leave it a few hrs then try again
