Sorry to hear of your injector probs, I've just sold my Citroen Grand Picasso 1.6 e-hdi EGS with 51k miles for the same reason, always used our local Asda supermarket for fuel. Had no:1 injector go, towed off the motorway etc...., total cost of ÂŁ650. Just purchased a 3008 2.0 HDi Auto to tow our caravan, hope this will be a better buy, and staying away from Asda fuel !

Very interesting.I'm not doubting that supermarket fuel can cause injector problems,as we all know it's not up to the grade of the fuel you buy at a shell filling station, that seems to be a known fact. But can anybody tell me the reason why supermarket fuel can put an injector out of action.I'm not disputing the fact just curious as to why.Does it perhaps have a higher percentage of water in it perhaps.?
During our recovery off the motorway the Green Flag Guy said the Diesel felt excessively 'Soapy' this may cause injectors to 'dry out' ( I guess the Lubricating properties to be reduced) which makes sense if fuel pump, pressure valves etc... are affected too, maybe completely wrong, maybe just a simple electrical fault in the injector

Totally agree, pun not intended. Only a few refineries in Uk, but seem to be a lot of complaints regarding supermarket fuel (ASDA in particular). Many years ago, ( in the 80's & 90's) I knew a SHELL garage owner and often saw the delivery driver pouring in additives during delivery. I'm certainly staying away from Supermarket Fuels.
