I'm trying to put my '98 106 GTi back on the road after being stored for the last 4 years. I could probably take it to any old back street garage but I'd prefer to take it to someone with a bit of classic Peugeot knowledge.

I had it booked in at a specialist but unfortunately they find themselves shorthanded and I don't really want to wait any longer. It could be another 6 weeks before I can get it looked at. It's already been 5 weeks since I first booked it in.

Anyone have any suggestions for reliable, quality classic Peugeot loving garages in Manchester ? Ideally north or east Manchester/ Greater Manchester.

Can't help with Manchester, but can recommend Benza autos on the Wirral.

Have you tried giving Pugbitz at Denton a call and asking for a recommendation?

Thanks very much for the recommendation. Wirral's a bit really. I've already paid an arm and a leg to transport the car from London and can't really afford to get it taken to the Wirral.

It was actually Pugbitz that are unable to do the work but I might see if they can suggest somewhere else if it drags on.

If you don't have any luck a friend of mine is a freelancer with his own workshop in Irlam. He mainly works on old VWs but has a soft spot for Pugs.
