207 uses same barrel as 307 and they do this its time to buy a replacement barrel !!
If you can get it free then it is easy to replace if you cant you will have a bit of a fight but if you do go for a used replacement you must retain the electronics from your original key and fit them to the replacement or it wont start.
No need for any new keys he just needs a used working ignition barrel with key fit that transfer the circuit board into replacement key and just keep old key for door locks and petrol cap.
Or a full lockset if you really want a matching key but no ecu change needed as long as you keep original board from your key and transfer to replacement you can even just swap the blades in the flip case plenty options.
ok so mabey i am missing something, mabey the barrel comes out easy.
its just last time i did this job on a ford you had to turn the ignition to position 1 to release the barrel, of course not possible with a broken barrel so ended up drilling it out....took hours and made a right mess.
then drove car with a screwdriver in the rear switch with key taped to the ring, after disabling the steering lock...just while waiting for new ebay barrel.
