Hi guys, my trusty stead its starting to age and ignition barrel its starting to become difficult to recognise the key.
The van is a 2000 partner 800lx, non central locking.
Im aware that lots of bits fit other models but seems the ignition wiring can be different lengths? Mk1 or Mk2??
There is a set of locks and barrel on a site from a 600l 2000 van, would it it? The van looks tge same shape.
I have lubricated my current barrel but it seems to feel worn.
My other question is what would i do about the immobilizer? Woyld i keep my original key on the bunch?

so just to be clear.
You are having trouble inserting and turning the key?
If this is the case you could change barrel of lock for identical lock number no original keys work.

Easiest way is to get a good replacement barrel and transfer your chip from your key into the replacement key head
You can still use your original to lock doors and the other key starts the engine.

There are other options but that is the easiest and best way
