Hi Guys
My car needs a new ignition barrel.
Main agent in Norwich is telling me it can only go there to be fixed as the immobiliser is part of the barrel and the key will need to be reset.
Cit-Ren near Norwich, a Peugeot/Citroen breaker/specialist is telling me they are wrong and all I need is a new key blade and barrel.
Who is right?
I have a pathological distrust of main agents and their let's print money attitude
Thanks In advance

Take photo id & proof of ownership V5C in to your Peugeot main dealer parts department & they can order a pre cut ignition barrel to fit the original key number for the VIN - normally takes 2 weeks from France.

As long as the current barrel can be turned you will be able to get it in to the service position that will allow the sprung loaded clip to then depressed to allow the barrel to slide out.

Pre cut ignition barrel will be £160 from the dealer. This is the route I would go down, so the all the lock barrels match up.

If you just need the barrel & key pop by David Yarham Salvage just outside Norwich, he's got a couple of 407's in and will probably sell you the parts for a few quid, rather than £160 from a dealer.
