Hi yet again guys,
going to service my 307 diesel and I was asked whether it is a Bosche or Seimens. Of course I have no idea without taking it out of the housing, which I would rather do just before I put a new one in.
any ideas on how I can buy the right one without taking the fuel filter housing apart?

Thanks again Jimmy, I pointed this out at the parts shop that the rail behind had Bosch on it and asked if that matched the filter unit, and was told basically don't be daft.

Hi,
The correct fuel filter for your system is with changeable filter unit(it's located inside the black round box). The sealed fuel filter is dedicated for Siemens injection system :thumb:

There are two types of changeable filter.

This one (which I've never seen on any 307 I've owned):



and this (which has been on all my 90bhp 2L diesels):
