I have just picked up my new-used Peugeot 308 1.2 Puretech EAT6. It's a 17 plate with 22400 miles on it and I am pleased with it but have discovered the rear wiper motor seems to be detached from its moorings. This causes the wiper blade to park itself below window level on the body paintwork and if I push it back by hand the entire assembly feels loose and the spindle can be pulled away from the car (but not off the car) with wiper attached. The garage I got it from (Robins & Day) have readily agreed to fix it but I was wondering if this is a common fault. It is certainly a strange fault so can anyone put forward a possible reason how this could happen? I'll ask the garage to put some thread-lock on the threads to stop it happening again.
