Step 1. Wheel off ready to start:


Step 2. Remove caliper and break pads, 2 x 13mm bolts with 15mm spanner stopping the inner bolt from turning:


Step 3. Unhitch the handbreak cable, apply downward pressure on the bracket with a lever (screwdriver) then pliers to pull the cable free from bracket:

Step 7. Clear where the sensor was mounted of ALL rust:


Step 8. Refit the sensor this MUST be flat/tight against the mounting surface and not like the example below:


Step 9. Check the alinement of the sensor when fixing back in place, should be no more than 2mm from the ABS ring and perfectly parallel to the hub/ABS ring:


Steps 7 & 8 are the ones that many people get wrong, take a little time/care to get that part right.

With the car in neutral start the engine: if you have fitted the sensor correctly the ABS light should go out :)
Reverse steps 1 to 6 to reassemble!
NOTE: Apply the foot break a few times before moving the car!
