I have a leak on the intercooler pipework of a 1.6 HDI (DV6TED) and I want to pressurise the pipework to find it. I have made a fitting up from a silicone hose, a bung and a tyre valve (sounds worse than it is). What PSI can I safely put in the inlet pipe work to check for leaks?

Not sure you will be able to do that but it should be able to hold 30psi easily if all is good

If pipes are still connected to turbo/engine then they will just leak off all the pressure.
