The other day I went out to my car an noticed a barely visible dent in the boot. There is no paint scratching, no dents or scratches further down the car. I really can't understand what could cause a dent like this without damaging the paint?

It looks like someone really strong has just poked the car hard!

If anyone has any ideas as to what could cause this, or more importantly, if anyone has any ideas how I can get rid of it. Maybe poke it out from the back, or use a sucker? I would be most grateful. I have attached a couple of pictures so you can check it out.

(5 years I have had this car with not so much as a paint scratch. So it has pi$$ed me off a bit :( )

Thanks in advance for any help!

What you need on that is a Paintless Dent Removal technician (PDR)to sort it out just like myself. I would charge about £55 to get rid of a dent that size. I don't know where you are located but do a google search of "car dent removal in (your location)" and it should come up with a good variety of specialists. If you are in the Stoke, Staffordshire or Cheshire area then let me know.

I would say this but please don't try doing it yourself as its not as easy as it looks. All you'll end up doing is messing it up and making it unrepairable. A dent like that will not just "pop out" either. PDR takes years to learn properly and the tools involved are very specialised so please always pay for an expert to do it as it works out a lot more cost effective than having it filled and sprayed when its been "diy" attempted.

Cheers Mike.

Hi sorry, have been down in Cornwall for a while. Thanks for the info, i have not had a go at fixing it yet. I may just leave it for now. Might be looking at trading it in for a 208 anyway :D
