I have just bought a 2008 207 1.6t thp 150 xs sport.

When the car is under load and i lift of the accelerator there is a hissing noise, like a blow-off valve. I am unsure if the car has one or not due to it being new.

In the glove box i found a blow-off valve adaptor:
EPMAN EP-BOV1011 Blow Off Adaptor

The car has done 50k miles.

Any feedback would be welcome, thanks.

Sounds like someone has fitted a dump valve or the diverter valve has failed (common issue)

To make a boy racer noise and spike the turbo normally.

Officially is supposed to prevent turbo stall when throttle is closed and back pressure builds up, which then reduces lag when you put your foot down again following gear change.

If only i had a proper look before posting. The bolts holding in the diverter valve were loose and one was missing so some air was escaping.

Thank you for your time.
