Hey guys, just wanna say as a new member what a great site!!!!

But this morning upon trying to open my wifes car to give it the weekly clean the key fob didnt work? So I thought must be the battery so toddled down to halfrauds (excuse the pun) and bought a new battery stuck it in but still no joy from the lock/unlock buttons on my key!!!
I can just about open the doors manually with the key with a little
help from WD40 but would like to get the remote key opening, its a 1.6 petrol 307 y reg.
Anybody got any ideas as I dont want to purchase a new key from peugeot which I've heard are upwards of £100!!!!!
any help would be appreciated.
