I have bought servicebox 2012 from ebay for £14.5, it took nearly two weeks to arrive and in the meantime I have, from reading on here, realised I probably didn't need to pay that much if anything.

I have received two discs totalling about 11gb. There don't seem to be any instructions!

I have gone through the first steps of installing it on windows 7, but get asked for an activation key.

I then tried installing it on my xp machine and it didn't ask for any key, over an hour to install and I have clicked on the 'peugeot sedre backup' icon, to start with it was opening my browser, but didn't have internet on. Now it briefly opens the browser before closing again.

I have an icon for it in the bottom right and going to manage has brought up an activation box. Personal code D0YVLAAA.

I think a service box icon and citroen service icons have also appeared, these just open my browser when clicked.

Anyone else bought this from ebay and managed to get it working?

The windows 7 machine doesn't have either diagbox or pp2000 installed, This is the one that asks for activation code before installing anything. I don't really want to go any further on that one as it's my main laptop.

The other one with XP is my IBM with the hd that I have installed Diagbox on.

Is this 'peugeot sedre backup' the whole thing or just wiring diagrams which it mentions. I am really interested in the parts identification mainly.

OK , first one we can get activation code if you give us the lang and numbers it gives you ,

the xp machine you have to delete service box and reload ,
but before running it start task manager and stop any PSA processes running before starting , these are stopping the loading of service box ,(doing this won`t harm the pp or diagbox you have on that machine)

Thanks for that, I do have another 20gb HD that I could put in the IBM and start afresh for service box, so might do that if it's got to be re-installed anyway.

Don't really want to mess with the windows 7 machine at the moment!

Going to be busy with work till Thursday, so won't get much done till then.....

Thanks for all your help this weekend.

Thanks Trem, It's accepted that code and set it installing.....

Is the keygen available to download from anywhere for future use?

The seller of this disc has implied it's on one of the discs but I can't see any file names that indicate keygen!

Thanks

Got mine for nowt, erm stumbled across it on the web;) I'd prefer a Haynes manual though to be honest. I find the diagrams in sevicebox to be a bit vague.

£14.5 and had to wait nearly two weeks for it to arrive from Italy, oh well it's done now.

Anyway, I left this installing, it asked for second disc and then my 20gb hard was full before it completed! I had selected the full installation to avoid having to use the discs each time.

Re-installed using the option where less space is required. It says it has installed.

I now have two icons 'Peugeot SEDRE Backup' and 'Peugeot DocBackup'.

I clicked on SEDRE and after a while it has put an icon in the bottom right, if I click it, it momentarily brings up a window which then closes.

I tried DocBackup and this says a file is missing, but puts another icon in bottom right, which opens internet explorer and says a technical error has occurred.

Anyone able to tell me which Icon is which and what they should be doing?

Im thinking I need to get another 40gb HD so I have enough space to get the whole thing installed rather than the smaller version requiring discs to be inserted every time.

Don't like the thought but I might put planet on the 20gb drive which would free up the 40gb I used for that over the weekend!

Thanks Betty,

I'll either get Planet installed on the 20gb drive and then try the full install of service box on the 40gb that I currently have planet on.

Other option is a colleague is bringing me another old HD in on Weds, so could wait for that and see what size it is!

Thanks

I have now tried to install the complete versions and it all said it had installed.

However as before, I now have two icons 'Peugeot SEDRE Backup' and 'Peugeot DocBackup'.

I clicked on SEDRE and after a while it has put an icon in the bottom right, if I click it, it momentarily brings up a window which then closes.

I tried DocBackup and this says a file is missing 'MSVCR71.dll', but puts another icon in bottom right, which opens internet explorer and says a technical error has occurred.

Anyone got any ideas please?
