Hi all

My 307 1.4 HDI 51 plate will not start

It was fine yesterday, but today it turns over great but will not fire up. There seems to be plenty of charge in the battery (12v on the meter) and quarter of a tank of fuel.

I have done a planet Peugeot diagnostic check. The only fault that came up was:
Permanent Fault - Diesel high pressure regulation circuit. Pressure below setting and pump filling flow setting too high

I cleared the code and tried to start it again, but still nothing. This fault has cleared from the diagnostic and has not returned (I presume because the car has not started up). I'm sure this fault has been on the car since I got it with no real problems. I think someone on here said it might be a sticky valve which will cause no major issues and is a common fault.

Any tips on where to look next....

How do you check the immobiliser with pp...?

I will check these tomorrow asap - but i cant smell any fuel so i dont think there is a leak. The fuel primer bellows seem to work just as well as ever and move the fuel through the clear pipe no problem.

I just wonder if its electrical with the car suddenly not working. Can the fuel pump suddenly go like this. I've also read that the starter motor (even though it sounds ok) may suddenly go and drain too much power off the battery and wont start the car.

All the fuel lines were fine and the filter is clean. Fuel is passing easily through the bellows.

There were no issues/faults with PP that i could see relating to the immobiliser.

Battery is fully charged

Could it be the starter motor....?

All checked and all seems fine

The diesel pump is working as it is pumping diesel back into the tank when i turn the engine

No holes in the lines - no air in the fuel lines

The car nearly started a few times but was really lumpy and just did not want to 'kick over'

Where do i go next.....

Go into engine ecu on planet parameter readings and check data for cam and crank syncronisation and note the fuel pressure while cranking along with cranking speed

Planet does much more than codes you know :)

Do i need to be cranking the car whilst i have the diagnostic running to do this

Yes in parameters 1 crank engine note fuel pressure actual max and whether it says cam and crank syncronisation yes or no and engine rpm

Also you say nothing wrong with immobiliser how many keys learnt how many do you have have you tried the other key if you have one

Fuel feed pipes to the engine give trouble. They get rubbed through under the airbox.

The other key is the spare and has not been used in ages. I have tried it with no different effect

how do you check the immobiliser in planet peugeot. I didn't see any errors in the global scan

Where in PP2000 is the paraemeters section. I'm fairly new to it, so you will have to talk me through it step by step
