I have a 405 turbo diesel with a very heavy clutch. It is so hard to operate that I cannot sell the car. The clutch has been changed and new nylon shaft bushes fitted in the clutch housing also a new clutch cable. Can any one give me ideas to try to overcome this problem

Stiffness could occur in the clutch pivot. (the rod that goes into the clutch housing) I t turns in nylon bushes and can become dry and tight. Take the cable off at that end and see if it moves a fraction but easily. If the noise is from the pedal area could be the pedal pivot. Try the cable movement last when disconnected at both ends if you can
