As more of us need our heater flaps repaired i thought it might be an idea to have a thread dedicated to recommended repairers. This is meant for garages rather than fix yourself so. Up to now i know of
Peugeot Citroen Specialists.

I believe there is one or two down south somewhere but cant remember who/where ?? Can you

Also is there anywhere North of the border that offers this service.

Nice idea.

Think there was one in Swansea. Can't remember name of garage tho.
And was it Paul Mooney in Northern Ireland??? Who does the cut in method.

Dear, one question. I have a Peugeot 407, 2.o petrol 103 kW, 2006. Built into his gas after 3 years. Now it is 256,000 km, use Total 5-40, and spends about 3 liters to 10,000 km. Is it worrying?

A bit far, but, I have done two myself. The blower units have been bought of eBay for less than £100 and I have dismantled all the dashboard and pipes in engine bay area to replace them. Second job took me almost 6 hours. Not difficult if you've got patience and general knowledge around the car. You will require someone to help remove/install dashboard as its big. The second one had the cut in method done prior to installation but only worked for a few days

Just got back from having my flaps done at RTN in Doncaster - absolutely fantastic bunch of guys. Within 15min (honest) they had my dash and steering completely out and had started fixing the flaps. I was back on the road and heading south within an hour and a half! He charged me £250 for both flaps to be fixed (I'd have happily paid double!!!!).

I can't reccommend these guys enough - fantastic! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Hi guys, ordered a set of flaps today to replace but they have what looks like to me a weak spot/damage. Would you fit them or return them for replacement? Trouble is i wanted to fit them this weekend as its my only weekend off for a while and i wont be getting replacements until next week. I attached photos of them. Many thanks in advance.

Hi all,
My 407 SW has a stuck passenger side air con flap issue, so do you have the contact details for RTN in Doncaster? Is there another garage that can do this in the Thames Valley area?

Regards John

Hope your browser is now sorted mate! To the extent of my knowledge there is no-one else within the southern half of England who does the repairs and certainly not for that price/speed! You won't be disappointed :)

I currently based in Biggleswade, Which isn't too far from Cambridge, South of England and have carried out this repair myself on the passenger side (to date)

I can report that it's working flawlessly now in my car and therefore if anyone else is after someone this part of England to carry out the work, I could do this.

That said, My method of repair is slightly different.

Rather than gluing the cut out back into place, I used a little bit of plastic weld and then duck tape. Because, you never know when you'll need to go back into it!
