Leaking fuel tank, I've read horror stories about the breather pipe being integral to the tank and costing £600 to replace the tank inc fitting. Surely not?

got the aa out and they told me it's the seal on the top of the tank and not the breather pipe anyone had the same?

Same issue here, noticed a small leak on the passenger side, took off the plastic and the leak was above the tank so I couldn't see it. Took it to a garage who told me that the breather pipe/valve was full of diesel and leaks under pressure. Cost of a new tank £680 + Vat.

Anyone else managed to repair without forking out for a new tank?

Morning, to be honest with you, no because I was not willing to pay £600+ for a fuel tank. We had to drop the tank and use some sort of adhesive. It doesn't leak now at all but the left hand side of the care still stinks of diesel. Typical peugeot. It should have been a recall from Peugeot, as I am not the only one who seems to have this issue.
