Anybody know what the GT service interval is?

Both my current PSA Group diesels are 20k or yearly but I suspect theAdBlue stuff lowers this quite a bit.

Anybody know?

Cant recall what the dealer said on handover, however The "My Peugeot" app is showing 1 year or 20,000 miles.

I guess the car will tell you if it needs attention sooner for things like Adblue.

On the subject of servicing, Peugeot still have no costs for the new 3008. I have chased them because I want to get a monthly plan set up, and the longer they take, the bigger the initial payment will be. I do get the impression that the admin side of this company is run by idiots, who aren't capable of sorting out even relatively simple issues. Anyone who has been given a service price had better check, because it probably relates to the old 3008, as this is the only one showing on the system.

Ah that is good. Was expecting it to be the same. Have hear a tank of blue last between 6-12500 miles depending on driving style. So best get some on order.

AdBlue is available pretty much everywhere, the adBlue filler cap is next to the diesel filler - this is the filler of the GT I borrowed:

Auto part Vehicle audio Automotive lighting Car subwoofer Vehicle

5 & 10 litre or large cans can be purchased but supposedly there's a shelf life when exposed to air.

To be honest I can't see it being any different to the previous model. I told the guy on the service desk that other members on this forum had already taken out plans, and he showed me the Peugeot service screen with blank spaces against all the prices for the new 3008.

Yep I think some dealers are happy to sell it on the basis of the prior vehicle. No doubt this will be cheaper so no point complaining :)

Not sure if this applies to all Peugeot dealers etc but I got 3 years servicing for £99 because I went to see the car on its launch day at my local dealers. From what I was told this applied to anyone that went to the launch and there was no time scale in which you had to order the car. :)

In Australia I would expect I'll be the psa standard 1 year / 15000kms .......
more profit in servicing out here.
For the allure it's something like 1 year or 16000 miles whichever is first.

I have it written in writing from the dealer that they will provide a free first service... :D

Out here it seems there is little profit in the actual sale but 'fixed price' servicing combined with a 5 year warranty makes up for the sales 'loss'.
Funny how long wiper blades last under fix price servicing.......I seem to recall we were told they were an important 'safety' issue......not so much these days apparently.

Confusingly my car at 17850 miles now says 850 miles or 8 weeks until service. The 8 weeks is about right for a yearly service but if it is a 20k interval the 850 isn't. I have had to book it in for next week as I'm off down to cornwall so will likely do a 1000 miles plus. I don't see how hard it can be for a countdown to work correctly.

Dont go by what the car says, go by what is stated in the service manual (my RCZ shows 20k intervals but its actually 10k). Will check but the diesels are around 16k miles or 1 year.

Hi Aard,
Normal servicing interval for the 2 litre GT is 20k or 1 year for normal driving conditions.
The service interval for arduous conditions is 12.5k miles or 1 year.

Yours is normal so you should ignore the counter and have it serviced when you return. You can over run the miles by up to 500 if you need to and it won't affect the warranty. My advice is re-book you service for when you return.

Thanks GoG. Rather annoying as now i'm back and it's on 18700 with the amber spanner showing and it says i'm 100 miles overdue, the peugeot phone app says 20k, when I booked it they didn't even ask either. I wonder how many owners are paying out needlessly and does anyone know why it is set in the car to 18600 which seems rather an odd interval?

Car is not set to 18600 this is a calculation based on driving style etc 20k is the MAX amount you should do NOT a target.

Countdown varies for everyone but as i say 20k or 1 year is MAX not when it needs done

Bit like the 30 mph limit its a max not a target sometimes even 30 is too much !
