The newer type of glow plug has some sort of push on connector, is it just a case of pulling them off or is there some clip to release?
Those plugs are fragile enough without making it worse by breaking the connector.

Still have to work out how to get to them anyway. 1.6 HDi 110, twin camshaft, so they are buried down the back behind all the EGR gubbins.

They just pull off. You need to remove the EGR return pipe and wiring from the top of the engine as well as the windscreen plastic gubbings. I did all 4 of mine after getting the engine nice and hot and luckily they all came out with no issues other than a bit of swearing due the the restricted access.

I can understand that last bit.

Thanks, but on the 206 which this is fitted to, the plastic bit uder the windscreen has the same shape metal body part welded in, so access is going to be even worse.
