I've always found the clock in the Expert van uneasy on the eye, and fancied an instrument cluster with a rev counter. Fortunately (maybe), the 806 came with the exact same clocks but with the tacho. I was told by a member of another forum that unlike the vauxhalls I'm used to tinkering with, the clusters arent all 100% compatible and the revs won't display in the van. Not that I didn't believe him, but I saw a cheap cluster on ebay and couldn't resist. It arrived today so I fitted it only to have what he said confirmed.
It's a shame as everything else works fine, just the RPMs. Surely there must be a way to get this working? Obviously the ECU needs an RPM reading for multiple calculations, but it's translating this signal to the needle that has me stumped. Any auto electrical geniuses (genii?!) who can solve this for me? Pound notes go to the winner!

Is this the kind of situation where Planet would come in handy? Thanks
