The DMF is rattling it's tit$ off when clutch is engaging or at low RPM,
defintely needs replacing. I need to keep costs down as much as I can so I am going to replace the DMF myself, I'll throw a clutch and release bearing in whilst I'm at it.

Question is, has anybody removed the box on one of these and if so how hard is it to do on your path? Maybe it's easier to remove the engine if it could be taken out at the front???

A quick view looks like, bottom ball joints off, swing struts out the way (pulling drive shafts out) lower coolant hose removed, sub frame removed or dropped down, engine mounts removed.

Car is a 2005 407sw 2.0 hdi

I am / was a mechanic.

Cheers
Craig

Search for gerabox removal (Spelled like this, not guilty!). I've posted a description of this there already.
