Hi all

Ive got a 2ltr HDi Rapier thats got a strange noise coming from what might be the gearbox?! It only happens when I accelerate and dissapers when clutch is down or in neutral.

Noticed a puddle of oil this morning, jacked car up and the is oil everwhere. wiped dry most of it and its not comin from any of the filler cap or drain plug. The residue appers from further upwards.

I did have a DMF/Clutch and sensor replacement no less than 250-300 miles ago and I suspect the mating face of the gearbox casing to the clutch housing may not of been tightned correctly.

Does this sound familer or is there maybe another reason for this leak/noise?

Please help a frustrated 307 driver who has had nothin but misery for the last 4 months with a multitude of faults.

Cheers:thumb:

Go back to who ever fitted it and get them to tak a look at it. Noisy gearboxes are not good, Check the oil level if you can or drain and refill till you can get the leak checked out.
Gearbox oil has a different smell to engine oil, smells real strong and thick.
