You have upto 90 days after purchase in which to arrange cover if it's the Combination GAP you're after (the one mentioned above). You can get a quote for this using our online quote engine.

For Valuation GAP (GAP Cover (Valuation GAP Insurance)) you can buy it at any time as long as the car is less than 8 years old at inception and has done less than 80k miles. This one is only available by phone.

That's great - I saw a number of web quotes for a Nissan Leaf yesterday - was it Stacey?

Glad to help you to a vastly better deal.

Return to Invoice is a type of GAP Insurance :)

Yes but it's not the same . The one you offer only pays a maximum of 7500£ and only pay to the finance company . What I want is return to invoice that gets paid to me or the finance company the difference from what the insurance company pays out on the market value at the time of the incident to my original invoice when I bought the car .
I take you don't offer this insurance then ?

Ours is the one you want - it pays the difference between your motor insurer's payout and the net invoice selling price OR the outstanding finance - whichever is the greater (and the payment, based on your vehicle's value, will be capped at £7500).

So, for example, you bought the car for £14,000. The car is written-off after 18 months of ownership. The value has dropped to £8,000. Your motor insurer pays the £8,000. You claim the remaining £6,000 on the GAP policy.

Hope that helps clarify it for you.
