o_O Hi folks. Firstly I’ve had my pug 508 1.6 ending SW for six years . Apart from a new clutch at 100k miles . It’s been outstanding.
HOWEVER

me and my big fat sausage fingers have buggerd that run of good motoring by messing about with fuse box .

I bought a 12 v usb charger socket from eBay and it started to smoke . This led to fuse blowing

I followed instructions to change fuse under drivers side box .
There were two blue ones … anyhow I inadvertently pulled out a Purple 3 amp one above these two, thought … oh dear and put it back in ( hopefully in right slot )
Lo and behold , engine warning light and and message on dash …

I have tried to find out what the hell this purple fuse is for ….but for the life of me can’t find anything .

car runs just fine… any idea on this little purple one🥴. Any help much appreciated

cheers folks

There were two blue ones
The bottom blue one should be for the 12 v charger socket.

anyhow, I inadvertently pulled out a Purple 3 amp one above
Couldn't find anything 100%, but of the two possible references I did find were, (1) hands-free starting access ECU (2) centralised voltage maintaining system.

cheers mate , I’m going to plug the Obd scanner in later, it’s only a cheap one but seems to work on other motors. I will keep you updated on the error code .
Again … thanks…. I really appreciate your input.(y)🚙
I am fairly sure you put the 3A fuse back in the wrong slot. The slot it's in is for hands free-starting if you have it. The slot above is for centralised voltage maintaining system and that should be populated.

Hi all

well I moved the fuse to the other slot, obd scanner used to clear …. Lo and behold the bloody thing then came up with gearbox fault code ( might have been because I had the thing in auto mode on cumbersome EGC gearbox ….Anyway , I simply put into Neutral, locked the car and had a cup of tea , came back and hey presto

all warning lights and warnings gone 🎉🎈🥳🍾

Anyway guys , really appreciate your help on this … life savers honestly
