With your phone unplugged, you go to Setup > device connections > CarPlay. There, uncheck “enable split screen.” That will allow CarPlay to take up the full screen.

In Latin America they now use a different infotainment system, AIO Crony, a simplified version of the IVI (i-Connect or i-Connect Advanced as Peugeot calls it). The IVI is used in recent models - 308 III (P5) and 408 (P54), 508 II facelift (R8), 2008 II facelift (P24) and 208 II facelift (P21). Those AIO Crony and IVI systems support both wireless Apple CarPlay (CP) and Google Android Auto (AA) in full screen. The older RCC and NAC systems only supports wired CP and AA and can't be displayed in full screen. This is hardcoded in the firmware and you shouldn't expect any improvements. See the green area for apps in Infotainment System | Overview | Webportal V1 in the WHD (10" touchscreen display).

 

Hello everybody.

Any news on that subject? I have a 2021 5008. If I had known this before, I definitely wouldn't have bought the car.. To make matters worse, I see inferior cars like the Ford Focus with fullscreen. That's really drives me crazy. I'm already considering changing cars just because of this.
