Hi
Driving along an estate road (15mph) and it just stopped. terrible smell of fuel. Pushed in to lay-bye. With bonnet up looking towards rear, fuel pipe on left hand bulkhead was disconnected. Was not easy to re-connect and not sure it is properly 'home', but got me home anyway. How do I know it won't happen again? Has anyone else had this problem?

I suppose you mean the plastic pipes with a "squeeze & pull" connector ? horrible things, what was wrong with old fashion pipes and jubilee clips??

When refitting you just push it until you hear a click, and its home.Squeeze the little fittings and pull to remove it.
To be on the safe side get a new pipe assembly, that's the two that go from the bulk head and over the cylinder head.
Its a main dealer only part but I think it wont break the bank?
