Just filled the tank to full but gauge shows almost empty and yellow warning light is still on.
2006 1.6 petrol.
Anyone know the most common cause to this?

Regards
Marcus

A "hello" before you post your first question wouldn't go amiss ;) Maybe a fuse or wiring, maybe the sensor/needle in the tank.

Yes, Hello there :)
Thanks for the input, I have not checked fuses. You think the gauge could show almost empty with a blown fuse? I'll check the fuses.

Reparked the car just now and the needle went to indicate full tank.
Hopefully the problem has gone away, time will tell.
Thanks
