will be removing the fuel filter this weekend as of many other things

is there a certain way it as to be removed like the fuel lines top first or bottom first
in order as i removed it some time back and it drained out and had trouble with it after like priming it

car would not start for around an hour later after be great for any answers on this car in question is 307 1.6 hdi

When I do mine a general rule of thumb is to prime the bulb(if you have one that is..) until its hard to squeeze any more.. then do it some more.. I know that sounds daft but I had the same situation the first time I did mine, so the second time I just kept on squeezing for a bit longer and it started on the key.

Does not matter what order you take pipes off your going to spill diesel anyway as has been said above you MUST reprime the system thats where you went wrong last time

1.6 HDI will have a hand primer prime it for ages then start engine :)

Turn the ignition on and off about 10 time as well helps normally or connect the flow the the new filter and hand prime till it comes out the return then connect the pipe
