Afternoon All,

I have recently acquired a 106 and have noticed that the pipes to the fuel filter have been bypassed.

Upon asking the previous owner, he states something failed and thus the bypass.

Can anybody please advise what this something was? Was it the fuel pump?

Many Thanks
Ross

Jesus............. thats a bodge if i ever saw one! :nono:

Ok, not too much to go wrong in the filter housing unless it's cracked or something.
Get another filter housing ASAP, new filter and put it back together.
If any bit of debris gets sucked into the injectors, you'll have an expensive bill!

thanks both for the reply. Is it just a pipe in/out?

random request, but do you have a phot of how it 'should' look?

Thanks

Filter housing is heated by the engine and this helps the fuel flow in colder weather i would look at sorting it out to avoid issues when it does get colder

The part you see sticking out in pic is the outlet to the pump the fitting has been pushed into the pipe attached to the hand primer the inlet i think is at the rear of the housing so not visible in pic do a google search you should find a pic of the layout
